Brand Memory

What you know about a brand. And how you know it.

Every brand gets one Brand Memory: the Brief you write, plus what its campaigns and Tests teach. Each line shows where it came from, and nothing gets in without you.

A brand’s memory is a list of lines like these, each with where it came from. When Sendfire drafts for the brand, it writes from the ones you’ve kept.

Northline’s memory, as the next brief sees it.

Standing guidance Maya wrote, and what the campaigns have taught since. When new evidence overturns a line, it is retired, not erased.

Voice

Written by Maya in the Brand Brief. Every draft is written against it, and the review pass checks for it.

written 3 Feb 2026 · Brand Brief: Voice · revision 2

Five sends ran the same split. The story opener led in three. Sendfire couldn’t verify the Klaviyo A/B splits, so the line is recorded as an observation, not a verdict.

Audience

Summer essentials went to the full list. Clicks came almost entirely from people who had bought in the last twelve months. The retro proposed the note about full-list sends; Maya narrowed it to restocks before accepting.

Offers

Set by the brand. Sendfire won’t draft a launch with a discount in it.

Timing

Held through winter. Then four comparable spring sends at 6am opened below the brand’s own evening sends. Retired on the evidence and kept on the record, so the winter campaigns still show what the brand believed at the time.

Guided demo · Northline Outfitters

How a line gets in.

A retro or a Test proposes a line. The proposal waits in one inbox until you accept it, edit it first, or dismiss it with a reason. Three proposals, three decisions.

Accept what the evidence supports.

A concluded Test proposes one line, with the sends behind it. Accepting saves it exactly as written, with the Test as its receipt.

Decisions

Prepared example · fictional brand

Where a line comes from.

You

The Brand Brief.

Six sections you write and revise: identity, voice, audience, offers, constraints, goals. Your edit becomes the current revision. The earlier revision stays on the record.

Retros

After a send.

The retro reads the results against the brand’s own earlier campaigns. If they suggest a lesson, it proposes one line and names the sends behind it.

Tests

After a conclusion.

A concluded Test can propose what its sends support. Same inbox, same three choices.

How a Test reaches a conclusion

AI never writes memory

Retros and Tests propose. The line is saved only when you accept it.

Edits supersede, never overwrite

A changed line keeps its earlier revision, so older campaigns still show what they used.

Every draft names its memory

Each draft records the exact revisions it was given, so you can check later which revisions it used.

The next brief starts from it.

Set the goal and add what changed. Sendfire completes the rest of the brief from accepted memory, and shows which line filled which field.
